Question about portable use with Android

Post by NO8J »

Hi,

Picked up a Zumspot RPi Nextion kit from HRO at the Dayton Hamfest. Got it set up and it is working perfectly on my wi-fi at home.

Because I travel with my job I have a few questions:

Can I have multiple wifi accounts with passwords?
If I am in a public place with open wifi, no password required, can I make it work?
Finally, is it possible to set it up with my android phone using the android as a hot spot, or is there a better way?

Appreciate any and all help!

Yes, multiple networks are allowed, Not sure about public wifi. I use my Android hotspot daily at work.. It's just another network as far as Pi-Star is concerned.

Thanks for the tip on setting it up with the Android. Works like a champ. Now, if only I could get it to work with Public Wifi!
