Can't get out to the WAN

Post by wa4aa »

Hello All,
I am using a Jumbo Spot running PiStar vr.3.4.16. I can address my Jumbo Spot through the LAN by entering it's ip address. When I key up my DMR portable the screen on the Jumbo Spot yields my call sign, the TG and my IP address. I can also see the pistar software on my computer showing the RED TX when I key up the radio. So far everything indicates that when I key the DMR radio it should be heard in the DMR TG. It seems that I'm not getting out of the Local Area Network.

Looking at the Pi Star Digital Voice Dashboard, Admin, Live Logs I see a line that says "Login to master failed" I feel that this message is telling me that my local TX is not making it out through the internet WAN and picked up by the pistar servers to be heard by others.

I will need your support to make the changes necessary to configure the system to work correctly. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your much needed help.

Sounds like you may be having an issue with your DMR Master. You might want to try a different master:

If you're using BrandMeister, the other thing the other thing that might help is to set up a Hotspot Security password. There are instructions for that on the Pi-Star Wiki: http://wiki.pistar.uk/Pi-Star_Brandmeis ... t_Security
