I had to reflash the image for my MMDVM hotspot on a PI-ZeroW. Rebooted and now it just sits there slow blinking red and not connecting. The router indicates that an ip address of 192.168.1.138 has been assigned, but I see not indication of connectivity on the Pi.
Any advice on where to go next.
Thanks,
Dick

Pi-Star not connecting to router
Re: Pi-Star not connecting to router
Hi Dick,
When your flashed your new image, did you copy a wpa_supplicant.conf file with your wireless network login credentials into the root directory before booting up? If not, Pi-Star will go into Auto AP mode after three minutes or so, and you can establish a direct connection to the hotspot from your computer by looking for the Pi-Star-Setup access point in the list of available networks (use the password raspberry).
If this is what is going on, it might be helpful to have a look at this graphic:

Re: Pi-Star not connecting to router
Thanks for the suggestion. I did manage to get into the Pi-Star setup router and initiate changes and put my internet router address and password in. When I restart the pi it still doesn't connect the the router.

Re: Pi-Star not connecting to router
That doesn't sound quite right. Normally, the wireless credentials you would enter in Pi-Star would be the SSID (Service Set Identifier), which is simply the name of your wireless network, and the PSK, which is your wireless network's password.

Re: Pi-Star not connecting to router
Kind of what I thought as well. At this point I'm totally stumped.
Re: Pi-Star not connecting to router
Are you sure you used the correct firmware version for your MMDVM board?

Great question. I'll have to look at that.

Additionally,
If the pi-star can't connect to the internet how does one go about updating the firmware? So far no luck searching the internet.

Re: Pi-Star not connecting to router
You might want to pick up a micro USB to ethernet adapter so you can plug your Raspberry Pi Zero W directly into your router until you resolve the WiFi connectivity issue.

Re: Pi-Star not connecting to router
It's been a long time and I apologize for not getting back to folks. I'm going to try the direct to router suggestion and see what happens.
