Auto Disconnect

Post by zl1cts »

Hi All

I have a question, is there a way to have pi-star drop the room its connected to if there is no local RF coming in after a set time.

eg. if someone connects the pi-star to a YSF room and then forgets to disconnect it, and someone else comes along and wants to use d-star, then it can get a bit messy...

what I am after is a set timer that if a room (any mode ysf/dstar/etc') is connected to but no local RF is received for say 10mins, it disconnects the room.

hopefully that makes sense.

thanks

Yes you can setup an inactivity time out, log in to pi-star and click on Configuration and then Expert then click on YSF GW. Scroll down until you see Network and you'll see the entry for such (set to 0) set the time value to what you desire and then apply. Test it by connecting to a room and waiting for it to time out and disconnect! Image
