I have been running a Pi-Star Repeater for the last two years. Using an MMDVM STM-32 Hat, and two CDM-1250 Motorola's as the hardware. I'm happy with using the DMR and D-Star, but I would like to have some Analog functionality with it. As if it was a regular FM repeater.
Do I need to get a repeater controller for that? and if so, which is most compatible with my current Setup, so that I can just patch it in between.
thanks a ton,
Analog Capabilities?
Re: Analog Capabilities?
Pistar /MMDVM doesn't work with any analogue modes. MMDVM is a digital voice modem, there's no analogue use case for pistar, you'll simply have two competing systems each fighting the radios for tx/rx audio/ptt etc.
