Just to be clear, the only thing 4.1.1 adds is some missing WiFi drivers, thats all.

According to that screen image, you are still running 3.4.x, NOT 4.1.x

hinting maybe to a pi zero.
Which would have the ability to run 4.1.1
But, agn just guessing as the post lacks insufficient info given by the op.
