5.4.51-v7l+latest update causes MMDVM errno=5

Post by 2E0WKS »

Knowing that a config error will give issues and I reverted to a previous kernel on another card and all behaves as expected

I: 2020-08-30 22:49:55.879 TX Frequency: 438800000Hz (438799550Hz)
M: 2020-08-30 22:49:55.879 Opening the MMDVM
E: 2020-08-30 22:49:59.682 Error returned from write(), errno=5

now uncertain how to fix this on a ki-cad duel hat with latest roger Clarke firmware and works perfectly on earlier version for months

any help or suggestions as it appears MMDVM software version read error I also saw on live logs

thanks

Hi thanks for the reply it's gpio issue now resolved by downgrade as a script for additional fan hat pulled a load of updates.

Thank you for suggestions

Hi yes the Argon script pulled a load of gpio updates and the hat took ages to connect green and changing anything caused it to drop out.

Earlier version with argon script and then pi-star updated seems to work fine

It was definitely the argon script installation and the updates it pulled caused issues.
