PI-star web service disconnects

Post by La1roa »

My Pi-star version 4.1.4 disconnects from the MMDVM and cannot be connect unless by a reboot. Stopping/starting the service does not help.
The PI3 and the MMDVM still transmits calls from internett.
Does the setup have a timeout setting for this or is it a fault in the software?
I use a RPi 3 with a STM32-DVM MMDVM ..modem.

I will check the logs..
But if there is a hardware problem, why does the pistar version 3... work fine without this disconnection...
And when the web service is disconnected, i can operate the hotspot without problem.

Sorry, if i didnt express myself properly.
But yes, the pi is working and the mmdvm must also be working since i can listen to and talk to people .
At the same time nothing pops up at the web interface, the listening indicator is blank (white),
The web page can be operated , it is not "frozen". The log does not show anything. I can update the config page
With a restart of services.
I can also go into the ssh and do an update, but still no calls will be listed at the web page.
After a reboot everything is ok for a day or so, then the web page will be offline again.

Today i downloaded a fresh image from pi-star.uk for the PI3. I flashed it onto a 15gB micro SD . It verified ok... .
But then a new problem came up..
After reentering all my config data and the connection to Bandmaste and the radio was ok i tried to update the pi-star software.
The update goes into a loop , which i had to kill . But still the hotspot is alive..
here is the copy of the SSH output........................

4.1.5 has been release with this issue pre-fixed.

For anyone who is seeing the update loop, just opening any Admin page or the config page will auto-fix the loop issue and get you back in action.

A new version 4.1.5 fixed both the disconnect problem and the update loop thing.
Thanks for all help.
