Raspberry Pi Zero 2!

Post by VK5BB »

Hi,

Just let people know, I received a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 this afternoon and I have successfully loaded it with Pi-Star V4.1.5_30_Oct-2021.

On receipt of the RPi Zero 2, I fitted it with a N5BOC Lonestar Radio Modem Simplex Hat, loaded V4.1.5_30_Oct-2021 and booted the RPi.

It was quick to extract and build the image and once configured, it worked a treat, without the bugs that were in V4.1.5_21_Jun-2021.

So far I have only configured it for D-Star, but I will try it on DMR later but with how it has worked so far, I do not expect to encounter any problems.

Running a voltage and current dongle in the power supply lead, at idle the current flicks between 0.15 and 0.25 with it being below 200mA most of the time.

Thanks to everyone who is supporting the Pi-Star images.

Cheers and 73,

Yep. Pistar was rebuilt when we heard about the new boards to make it compatible, and theres already a few posts here saying that and confirming it works.

So this is old news now.
