Have you updated to 3.1.17 or to Vers. 4.0 RC3? I saw you were running 3.1.11 but that is very old.

I am running 3.4.16 on W4GEN repeater. I may download the latest and try it but i think i will get same result. Never hurts to try. It seems to only lock up with a RF input signal coming in. I have never seen it lock up with signal coming in from gateway. Its random on its lockups. It makes it very hard to pinpoint. I really dont know the pistar operating system good enough to do good troubleshooting anyways. Usually i am able to log into it and do a reboot. That tells me the rasp-pi is still working and its not totally locked up.

I am running version 2 of this board. I have made sure power supply is plenty. I appreciate any ideas anyone has.

Since you are using a pi 3B+ board I would use the vn4 RC3 pistar program and do via SSH an update to have the latest patches and features applied to pistar as well as the Debian Linux OS. You might be surprised that it no longer locks up.
