STM32-MMDVM_HS... not working

Post by DS1SKU » Fri Oct 09, 2020 12:00 am

Hi,

I live in Seoul, South Korea.

I buy Mmdvm from chinese seller.

But... I am begginer, so, I don't know how to config...

Seller page explain...

wifi: 802.11b/g/n
quad core a7 1.2 ghz
512 mb ddr3 ram
16 gb tf
Installed Raspberry Pi Zero W

But, I can't log on that hospot, so I can't conpig D-STAR.

MY rig is ICOM ID-51E

So, I think. Installed Raspberry Pi Zero W is incorrect? so, I delete Raspberry Pi Zero W, and download newst version at pi-star site.

Hmmm... oooops!

Now, Mmdvm is not working, perfectly. :(
I can't siwtch on Mmdvm, even. :(

Help!!!

A RPi Zero W is single core at 1 GHz, so something is extra with that listing.

To tell the difference of which RPi you have look at the layout of the USB ports.

A RPi Zero W is going to have a mini HDMI port and two microUSB ports on the same side.

A RPi 3B is going to have 4 standard USB ports and an ethernet port. It will also have a HDMI port and a microUSB port for power.

Sounds like you have a 3B and installed Pi-star 3.4.17, which is not compatible it will not boot and will only flash the red LED.

Download 4.1.0 or 4.1.2 and flash that on the SD card.

Then follow the instructions here:

you have the PI and the mmdvm hat separted?

I would start with that. Separate the 2 parts.

Follow below instructions and it should work

Don't do that, there are versions for devices other than the raspberry pi family.

Download this:

The red flashing LED means that the RPi couldn't find its operating system, so either your SD card is bad or you didn't flash it properly.
