MMDVM decoding

Post by K5RPD »

Has anyone attempted to pick off the audio of the transmitted data from the MMDVM_HS_HAT and feed that audio into DSD+ for decoding on a computer? (Instead of using a radio to decode and listen to it)
Or would that even be possible?

Thanks,
JJ

No reason it shouldn't work... unless you are trying to collect it directly rather than over RF.

For some reason it doesn't work.
I tried with a DV4 mini and it doesn't work either
Sometimes I can decode the first seconds then DSD+ mutes

I can very well decode repeaters (real repeaters Motorola, Hytera) H.T. but no hotspots...

I was thinking of tapping in to the circuit board of the HAT directly and feeding that to DSD+.
I guess there is no audio on that board?

There is no audio and there is nothing but pure digital, there is no AMBE on the RF boards for example.
