Good day!
Not sure if this is the right spot, but I've been unable to get anything resembling a correct answer via social media (yeah, I know).
I have a duplex hotspot; when I run sudo pistar-findmodem, I get:
"Detected MMDVM_HS (GPIO): /dev/ttyAMA0 (MMDVM_HS_Dual_Hat-v1.4.17 20190529 14.7456MHz dual ADF7021 by CA6JAU GitID #cc451c4)"
Unfortunately, when I configure my hotspot to use "MMDVM_HS_Dual_Hat (DB9MAT, DFET & DO7EN for Pi (GPIO)", it doesn't seem to receive or transmit. However, when I use "MMDVM_HS_Hat (DB9MAT & DF2ET) for Pi (GPIO)", it works fine.
When I (mistakenly) ran the firmware upgrade process and selected the Dual Hat version (sudo pistar-mmdvmhshatflash hs_dual_hat), the modem failed to initialize. I then ran the downgrade script (sudo pistar-mmdvmhshatdowngrade hs_hat), but the modem didn't initialize then, either. Since then, I've unplugged and replugged the hotspot in, and behold! it runs "like it used to".
My issue is that I don't appear to have duplex functionality, nor are both time slots working. I've enabled them both in the Expert tab, but even when enabled, and my handheld programmed to use TS1, the modem seems to translate everything to TS2.
Is it possible that this duplex modem is running simplex firmware? If so, how would I go about loading DUPLEX firmware?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Duplex MMDVM board not working correctly?
Re: Duplex MMDVM board not working correctly?
Thanks for the info!
I guess I'll have to de-solder the hat from the rPi, because Iit looks like the silkscreen is under the OLED display.

Re: Duplex MMDVM board not working correctly?
Photos could help to identify it, or something from wherever you purchased it.

Will do, as soon as I get back to my desk.

Yes, I did mean desolder the OLED from the hat, sorry. Here are some pics of the hat (I hope):
Also, here's a pic from SSH:
I guess I can't add more than three photos, so I'll add the other two in a reply to this reply.Steve K1SEH

Some more screen shots...
The hat works with this selection in the config page: But not this: Hope this helps!

Re: Duplex MMDVM board not working correctly?
What frequency is engraved on the TCXO near to one of the ADF7021 chips? Next to the bottom right corner of the OLED.

Re: Duplex MMDVM board not working correctly?
So it's not because you are using the wrong fw for the fitted TCXO.
Have you checked that you have the Duplex setting enabled right at the top of the config page?

Re: Duplex MMDVM board not working correctly?
Yup. But, when I go into the Expert page, duplex is set to 0.
And this is what my Admin page shows:
