Hi, guys,
my STM32-DVM/MMDVM_HS sitting on top of Pi Zero (PiStar 3.4.13) has been recently upgraded to fw HS_Hat:v1.3.3. After that my DMR hotspot is not listed among Hotspots @BM dashboard anymore, but among repeaters. Of course, with all the attributes and options for repeaters, i.e. Status: Slot 1 & 2 linked instead of Linked in DMO mode, even TS1 is disabled by MMDVMHost file. Honestly, I haven't changed any single config item, just checked that everything is set to Hotspot "mode" - no duplex.
On the other hand everything seems to be working fine, except I had to set static TS list again even for the repeater. And I also have a new left menu item @BM dashboard - My Repeaters.
Anyone met that?

Re: STM32-DVM/MMDVM_HS changed to RPRT mode after fw upg.
A friend of mine had the same trouble
He had to set the altitude to 0 in brandmeister to come back to simplex ...
Dont ask why but he found this workaround

many thanks, F6GVE,
I won't ask why, but it has hit the point. unbelievable, I've almost got grey from setting it back.
solved

Thats bizarre, anyone reported that to BM devs yet?

hi, Andy,
I've already submitted a case to BM development team. I'll keep you updated, guys, thanks for your support.

I have a similar issue, but in my case, my repeater shows up as a hotspot also. I figured I would go mess with the altitude and see if I could correct that, and the altitude setting is greyed-out for both.
My other repeater is not running MMDVM/Pi-Star and I can change that altitude...
Strange?

It's an R-Pi 3B+, wired ethernet at home.OK1ZW wrote: ↑Wed Jun 06, 2018 8:11 pmhi, no idea, what kind of a backbone are U running?N6MIK wrote:I have a similar issue, but in my case, my repeater shows up as a hotspot also. Re: STM32-DVM/MMDVM_HS changed to RPRT mode after fw upg.
If you have a hotspot - its MMDVM_HS in the modem list, not STM32-DVM, there are a couple of vendors incorrectly suggesting to use STM32-DVM incorrectly.
If you have a repeater with dual radios then STM32-DVM is a sane choice.
HTH.

Mike,
just two my cents.
hard to say, but, firstly, try to identify Your MMDVM HW clearly from any sticker/description on a board. it's quite important to choose the right HW and firmware, I spent some time on this... then try to update firmware of MMDVM, it's usually the only way.
