upgrade Pi-Star:3.4.17 to Pi-Star 4.*

just looked at my pi-start zero, and it's running 3.4.17.

is there an "upgrade" path to the latest 4.1.3/4, or is that a fresh install?

In a quick read through the forum, am I correct in assuming that Pi-Star_RPi_V4.1.2_20-May-2020.zip is correct for all raspberry pi's?

thank you

You need to do a fresh install, there is no upgrade path as the underlying Raspi OS has changed too much.

If you create a new image on an SD card and drop your usual wpa_supplicant.conf file on the root of the FAT partition it will be copied to the correct place and give you network connectivity via WiFi.

It's less useful trying to create a backup of the 3.4.17 system settings and importing them, it will probably work for many of them but there are some that are not properly restored so you ought to keep a note of all the settings you've made and modify them manually in the dashboard.

Thank you.

That's what I thought, but wanted to verify before I did a fresh install
