All the update scripts for pi-star are smart enough to pull the latest version without needing to be updated too, so if you use our tools you get the latest build of the firmware :)

Worked very nicely for me Andy, thanks for implementing it.

If I may make a suggestion I did notice that the old firmware version is shown without being labelled as such, so I initially thought I was going to re-install what was already there. Maybe it could be described as the current version?

How does one tell what version of FW is running?
I've got "FW: MMDVM:20170501" showing on the dashboard, running on an MMDVM_HS from the Zumspot guys, that that seems counterintuitive with the 1.3.6 release number.

Thanks - I thought that was it, but with the version number so far off from 1.3.6, I'm wondering if I should try to force an update or let it ride...

I'm running a Jumbo (China) Spot, so Zum Spot firmware may be different.

The OLD firmware builds were labelled that way, make sure you have the modem you run the update for :) If you are sure its a ZUMSpot for example, then sure run the firmware update and get the new build :)
