Survey: Minimum receive RSSI on various ADF7021 based MMDVM boards

Post by db9cr »

Hello,

I am hunting a strange receive problem on a ADF7021 based MMDVM duplex hotspot.

Can you please check what minimum RSSI indication with a reasonable BER you can find in your log?

Please execute the following command as user pi-star or root on your hotspot:

$ egrep 'description|BER' /var/log/pi-star/MMDVM*
I: 2021-04-25 20:36:21.644 MMDVM protocol version: 1, description: D2RG_MMDVM_HS-v1.5.2 20201108 14.7456MHz dual ADF7021 FW by CA6JAU GitID #436cebb
M: 2021-04-25 20:36:40.207 DMR Slot 2, received RF end of voice transmission from DB9CR to 9990, 1.8 seconds, BER: 0.2%, RSSI: -47/-47/-47 dBm

Can you copy your log lines into a reply to this post please?

In case of a long log, I am only interested in
  • The smallest RSSI with a BER<=1%
  • The absolutely smallest RSSI. What's your BER in that case?
Please truncate/filter your log accordingly if it gets to big. For me, 10-20 lines are perfectly ok.

Thanks
Christian DB9CR
