Jumbospot not receiving

Post by GW0DIV »

Hi just done the latest firmware and pi-star updates and now it can't hear my radios, no local RF activity showing and I can't access fusion, my IC-80D seems to get some response (?RPT) but still no local RF activity showing?

Hi
I've had no problem so far with firmware updates so far. I had updated to 1.5.2, from, I think, 1.4.17. I downgraded back to this level, still no go.

It all powers up and I can receive Fusion and D-STAR perfectly normally. When I transmit nothing appears on the local RF activity list, but if I transmit D-STAR I get the ?RPT reply but nothing again on the local RF activity list.

I'm outside the satellite bands.

I've tried MMDVMCAL everything seems fine when receiving with my FT3D, but it doesn't do anything when I try the BER tests.

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Rhys

I used the following to flash the firmware

sudo pistar-mmdvmhshatflash hs_hat

I will retrieve the log files tomorrow as it's getting late here.

All noted on the Yaesu thing, I did find it was strange to get the ?RPT but no local activity showing. I didn't get chance to try the D-STAR BER test.

Many thanks

Hi

I've just gone to retrieve log files and realised I'm not sure which ones to get or where to get them? I've checked out live logs and I have a list of logs available on SSH. Is there a command I need, or have I missed something in the menus?

Interesting that I just received three HATs and am experiencing the same problem.

Just having another play and found that the BER test on MMDVMCAL ignored the radio on VFO A, but received a transmission from VFO B albeit with quite a few errors??

I bought another MMDVM (STM32), that didn't work either. I think there might be a radio problem. I did a factory reset, that didn't help either but I have used the radio through a repeater(?).

Yes, both are simplex and the radio is set to simplex.

Well the FT3D seems to work fine with a DV4mini?
