Anyone running Yaesu FT-3000M with STM-32?

Post by N6MIK »

I've been trying for several days to get either of my 2 FT-3000M radios to transmit DMR and P25 as a simplex hotspot.

About the best I can do is partial, garbled decode on P25, and no audio and incorrect radio ID decodes on DMR using multiple receivers on both modes. Receive is fine, with low BER, and traffic goes out the gateways as expected.

Deviation, frequency and output power look good on the FT-3000 and I'm running the radio into a dummy load 10 feet away, so I feel like I can rule out RF getting back into the radio or pi... packet bps is 9600 on the tx radio...

Has anyone been able to get an FT-3000M running as a simplex hotpot and can shed some light on what I might be missing? I've got a couple of MMDVM repeaters built and running on UHF, so I'm not a total novice here.
