No RF after firmware upgrade

I have used this MMDVM board for a long time and it has worked fine.

Yesterday I upgraded the firmware to the HS-Hat version 1.4.6 and the board, although still being detected by the Pi-Star, stopped transmitting and receiving RF.

After this trouble, I tried to reflash with other old firmware versions but the problem persists.

Can anyone say what is the correct firmware must be used for this board?

What version of firmware were you using before and where did you get it?

Looking at the S56AL page about this it isn't very clear about which firmware to use.

The problem is exactly this. I don't remember which firmware was running before upgrade.

I also checked the S56AL site and can’t find this information.

Solved! I changed the TX and RX offset to -4000 and worked fine. Probably the offsets was defined inside the last firmware and after upgrade, they was need to be defined manually.

Those are quite large offsets, it suggests that the TCXO for the ADF7021 is quite a long way off frequency itself.

The offsets are controlled by PiStar, it's in the expert MMDVM config page.

Thank you for your post, i have the same problem (no RF after firmware update) and with -4000 for RX and TX offset, the board is ok again !!!!

(I adjust at -4200 to have TX BER error near zero)

(Edit : My hotspot is not a "S56AL" but a "BG3MDO", but same problem....)
