And after writing (even 56%) remove jumper of MMDVM board and power on Rip,
only PWR LED is lit on the MMDVM.
So I think I failed to write the firm of MMDVM.

When you power it up with JP1 connected, it shouldn't be flashing the ACT/SRV LED.

That either means the flash isn't working or it is in bootloader mode.

This is too difficult to try to troubleshoot remotely.

Try and load this firmware. I have no idea if it is any good or not, but it is the only thing I can find when I search.

Code: Select all

wget https://www.iz8gur.it/downloads/mmdvm_pog/mmdvm.hex

sudo stm32flash -w mmdvm.hex -v -g 0x0 -R -i 20,-21,21:-20,21 /dev/ttyAMA0
I guess I'll delete those instructions as they don't appear to work.

Yeah, that isn't going to work unless you replace the TCXO on your board with a 12 Mhz one.

Try this file. I went back further in the commits.

You'll need to unzip it.

I finally succeeded!
IZ8GUR checked his HEX file and told me it is completely OK.
So I tried again again and MMDVM firm is now

==========================================
Procedure is
1) Rpi ON and
wget https://www.iz8gur.it/downloads/mmdvm_pog/mmdvm.hex
2) Rip OFF and set MMDVM board in BOOT MODE.
3)
rpi-rw

sudo stm32flash -w mmdvm.hex -v /dev/ttyAMA0

(If error occurs try several time to write to 100%)
4) Power off Rip and set MMDVM board to normal mode and Power on Rpi

This was very very long struggle.
Thanks very much.See you guys on the air.

He must of read the forum and realized his configuration mistake so he recompiled and uploaded a new file yesterday, because the same file you downloaded the other day was built with the 12 MHz TCXO option, and now its 19.2. Also the dates are different 20190130 vs 20200513

Either way I'm glad it is at least back to having a stable flash on it.
