The original IRCDDB would allow you to take a D-STAR recording of your voice and add it as a voice announcement. I will have to go to my 5100 and see if I can make a recording and export it. Can't remember what the file format was.

Was it a feature of ircddbgateway? Thinking it was a feature of dstarrepeater.
It doesn't look like MMDVMhost has that feature.
You could set a choosen ur call to start the record process, capturing it over air from the radio, then dstarrepeater would play out that recording at a configurable time interval.
I can remember a text transmit ability...
texttransmitd -text 'testing text transmit'
(without the inverted commas) but no sure on a audio tx.
