Hi All,
I've searched high and low and now 12 months later I'm no closer to a solution. I'm running an XRF reflector using the software on github by n7tae. It was complied as and XRF which is what I want. I can't use the calling home feature because it's not an XLX. If I try the registration server rejects the registration requests. XREF.net won't list it because i'm running this newer software. Is there a way to manually list this so it's part of the pi-star host files? It's difficult to walk folks through editing their host files and I'd just like anyone to connect if they want.
Thanks in advance de K0JSC

Re: XRF Reflector listing
It's interesting that the IP address appears twice in https://ar-dns.net/bad as "changing addresses at time intervals of less than 5 minutes (based on last report)":
Code: Select all
$ lynx -dump https://ar-dns.net/bad | grep -E "Value|69.144.255.148"
Record Type Name Value
A k0jsc.dgw.ar-dns.net 69.144.255.148
A we0fun.dgw.ar-dns.net 69.144.255.148
Re: XRF Reflector listing
One is my call and one is our club. I don't know anything about AR DNS but I can guarantee that's been my IP for many months and is not changing. It is dynamic but never changes unless the router/modem goes down for an extended time. Where does ARDNS get it's info from?
Re: XRF Reflector listing
There's a contact email address on the top-level page if you have questions.

So just checking... is your reflector running with a static address ??k0jsc wrote:One is my call and one is our club. Re: XRF Reflector listing
I'll again suggest that the XRF815 is somehow misconfigured, as it doesn't appear in either http://ar-dns.net/xlx or the local hosts files:
The URI came from http://dstarusers.org/viewrepeater.php?system=K0JSC
Code: Select all
$ lynx -dump http://ar-dns.net/xlx | grep -i xrf815
$ grep -i xrf815 /usr/local/etc/*txt
$ host xrf815.k0jsc.com
xrf815.k0jsc.com has address 69.144.255.148
$ lynx -dump http://xrf815.k0jsc.com/

Re: XRF Reflector listing
I'm not sure of that listing but it's been removed. AFAIK the REF is configured correctly.
