Linking to a Repeater

Post by N5MI »

I have been running a Dstar repeater at my home QTH for a couple of years. It is a Motorola MTR 2000 440 mhz and I'm running a Raspberry Pi 3B with a STM32-DVM Pi Hat, running the latest version 4.1.4 Pi-Star image. In the past I along with others have been able to link to the repeater with their hotspots. I think someone got into the configuration and changed some settings which rendered the repeater useless, no audio passing in or out. I managed to get it back working, but now no one can link to it. Can not figure this one out.

in the pistar general configuration tab check to see that the node type is set to public. If not, change it and that should take care of that.

Change your remote password once your settings hsve been adjusted. [apply settings]

Check your gateway settings under d star configuration any changes made [apply settings]
go to the backup/restore tab and download the image so the next time you hsve an issue you csn revert to the setting that worked last.
