How do I do a back up? And where is the Expert editor page? Please
Ok i think the windows issues weren't related to the pistar side, but regardless what he was using to display the pistar dash the video link was intended to 'show how' to update from 3.4.** to 4.0 to give you a better understanding as you appear to be struggling getting a grasp on what's involved in that process.

How to do a backup:
it's also shown in the video link above, but there's a backup link on the configuration page, top right.
URL:: http://pistar/admin/config-backup.php

Expert page:
there's a link from the admin page top right.
URL:: http://pistar/admin/expert.

When you have the downloaded 4.0 RC3 installed, configured and running update/ upgrade to 4.0 RC4.

See KE0FHS' https://amateurradionotes.com/pi-star-u ... upgrading4 for a step-by-step how to move from v3 to v4.

Then from the Dashboard > Configuration > Expert and do the upgrade and update as described above.

I found the most consuming time was downloading the v4 image, then the rest of the move took less than 10 minutes. Good luck. HTH.
