DAPNET Gateway to Email (dapgw2email)

I've put together a DAPNET paging network to email program that will run with Pi-Star. It seems to be working well. If you'd like to try it out, take a look at

Hi Dan,
tried hours to get it to run, but no luck.
how to install the .deb file?
pi-star@pi-star(ro):log$ cat daemon.log |grep SMTP
Nov 1 13:28:59 pi-star dapgw2email.py[1444]: Error: Check SMTP configuration.
but running email citadel server working ok and accepting testmails
need example docu

Is SMTP in the /etc/dapgw2email.conf file set?
Eg. SMTP = 1.2.3.4

Version 1.0 has been released. Use of email via smtpauth over SSL on port 465 is now supported.
