DMRDelay Parameter

Post by KD4EG » Fri Oct 16, 2020 12:40 pm

Greetings folks! So what is "DMRDelay" parameter? Default value is "0". How does the parameter change the MMDVM behavior and what is the range?

According to the documentation it is a compensation for the delay in the transmitter audio chain.

Its value is in milliseconds. Its an unsigned int so the range is from 0 to 4,294,967,295 :ugeek:

As for what happens when you futz with that setting, I don't know. Its probably something that was used years ago on old slower hardware and now since the hardware has evolved it is no longer relevant or needed. That'd be my guess at least.
If someones previous actions are any indication of their future actions, then I predict the deletion and removal of access will happen at any moment. 7-11-2020.

Might be useful in full repeater modes if their is an external amplifier in the chain... To allow the amplifier to key up before digital traffic is sent.
