Different Networks

Post by n6rfm » Wed May 09, 2018 10:30 pm

Hi Everyone.
Really enjoying DVM and PiStar. Novice questions -
I have a duplex spot MMDVM from BI7JTA. It works very nicely for monitoring Brandmeister TS1 and TS2 static talkgroups at the same time. Also, I can connect to dynamic talkgroups using TG9TS2 whern set up like this.

Interestingly, both timeslots appear to be lined to the requested dynamic talkgroup. Is this normal? MMDVM firmware or something else?

TS1 and TS2 both work as expected. Is this just a visual glitch?

If then change the DMR configuration to try and access the DMR+ network, I seem to lose the ability to monitor TS1.

Am I missing something?

Thanks.

that's weird. reflectors can only be on TS2 so having TG 9 there makes sense. The other listing could be a bug. So you have Tac 312 on TS1 by chance.

I expect the REF showing on TS1 is a bug in the dashboard, I'll have a look at that soon.

The out of box config for DMRGateway only accounts for TS2, Pi-Star was designed primarily for hotspot use, and from a time before dual radio boards :)
We'll catch up soon no doubt.

Thanks Andy for the response. Amazing job on PiStar!! Effort is much appreciated. Will QRX.
Alec - will verify TS for 312. Cheers.

I have a question about that too. My dual slot repeater shows intermittent usage from TG8/Ref 4002 on TS2. I haven't made these as static or dyanamic, are they attached to the 3108 Master? Is there a way to unlink them? My other hotspots are on 3108 and don't seem to TG8/Ref 4002 on them (granted they're limited to the one slot). Curious.
