Configuration settings for Vertex Standard VXD720

Post by W6OSO » Sun Jan 13, 2019 11:01 pm

I recently set up the Zumboard and the PI-0 using Pi-star as the system software.
I have configured the (pi-star/Zumspot/Pi-0 ) hot spot for both D-Star and DMR.
The D-Star works fine, The YouTube videos were helpful. But on DMR I receive but when I key up nothing happens within the hot spot.
I have triple checked my frequency, and color code. I am on time slot 1.
The programming is similar to the Motorola. I have the frequency for the pi-star set as a repeater. then I have added the 15 channels with the call groups I want to work with. In explaining my probelm's with others I am told that I have to give a link-to and unlink-to command.
This is most frustrating. Would someone explain to me as to how to configure this radio?
Thanks and 73

I am running a VXD270 on a simplex pi-star hotspot without issue. Only difference is that I'm using time slot 2.

If you are using the Brandmeister network no link-to and unlink-to commands are necessary. It just works.

I'm a noob on Digital and DMR, but shouldn't you be on time slot 2? Time slot 1 is disabled on my hotspots.

I second this - I have all my hotspot config on TS2. I'm using a Motorola XPR4550 with a Jumbospot, as well as a couple of handhelds.

Radios: Moto XPR4550, Moto XPR3500, Anytone AT-D868UV, TYT MD-380 (x2), Yaesu FT-1XDR
