IPSC2-NL & DMRGateway not connect DMR*

Post by pd1loi »

Why is it not possible for DMRGateway and IPSC2-NL to work together? In other words, choose DMR Brandmeister and DMR+ in your radio.

As soon as you enable DMR+ it just doesn't work, you are visible on the server but you can't make a connection (audio). Everything in the codeplug looks good.

If Pi-star DMR Configuration is set to DMR Gateway
DMR -BM 2042 works, but IPSC2-NL does not make contact when using DMR+ WW TG1 TS1.
So everything that happens on BM network just works but not on IPSC2-xxxxxx Not.
If I only set the DMR Configuration to PSC2-NL or another server then DMR+ will work.

No it doesn't work, IPSC2-NL server but also other servers don't work in this configuration.

What kind of hotspot are you using?

I know, I also choose channels for BM. And also a zone specially for DMR + but DMR + you can see that you are sending on the dashboard but you are not on the network.
My hotspot is a Dual Dvmega for 2m and 70 cm.

Alright, that's a simplex hotspot. With simplex hotspots, convention is to use Color Code 1 (this is the default, which is set in the DMR Configuration section) and Time Slot 2 (I think this is because the hotspot is considered local). With a duplex hotspot, you can use both TS1 & 2. Is it possible that you have your radio set up with channels for BrandMeister talkgroups that use TS2 and channels for DMR+ talkgroups that use TS1 (as your reply suggests)? It might be possible to have both set to TS1, though I've never tried that with my simplex hotspots, but things should work if you have both set to the conventional TS2.

I've tried the Duplex mode, but this doesn't work either. If I only switch on IPSC2-NL in DMR Configuration, then it just works, Even in duplex mode with "Expert" DMR Network, TS 1 is set to 0.

You can only use duplex mode with a duplex hotspot.
