I do believe I have a good handle on how the DMRGateway works

1) Remove all rules from all networks.
2) Add TGRewrite rules one at at time for the specific TG / Network you want
ie Net 1 TGRewrite1=2,310,2,310,1 ( Single TG - 310 on TS2) -
TGRewrite2=2,1,2,1,999 ( Catches all tg's from 1 to 999 for Net 1 on TS2)
(These TG's are not usable on any other network except Duplex TS1/TS2)

3) Add and incremental extension for each TGRewrite rule in a network. ie: TGRewrite0=, TGRewrite1=
4) The same tg cannot be used in multiple networks. ie TG302 cannot be used on BM, dmr+, and TGIF unless you code them to the 7 digit options.
Optionally, if using a duplex Hotspot, you can program TS1 for one network, and TS2 for another
5) The PassAllTG should not be used. It can be used in ONLY one network, and It is supposed to catch all TG's not matching another rule in another network, but I found it unreliable.

Note: Using the stock DMRGateway, there is no isolation between the networks. ie if Net1 and Net4 are active, your radio will switch back and forth between them, between gaps in a conversation. Using the 7 digit TG rules below will help, but not eliminate this issue. I find it very disconcerting when the radio switches networks in the middle of a conversation I am involved in. My modified DMRGateway-1 will add the appropriate isolation. You can use the 7 digit rule set or tg 90001-90005 to switch networks similar to the openspot profiles, and only pass packets for the selected network. (If you want to monitor more than one network, then, don't use the 7 digit rules, and then tg 90000, will disable the isolation and allow use of the XLX Network) The XLX network will work with the 7 digit rule set.

If all else fails and you need more capability, as I do, then add the 7 digit rules, that DO require reprogramming your radio. There are way too many duplicate tg's across the multiple networks to handle with the stock rules.

ie
BM
Net 1 TGRewrite1=2,1000001,2,1,999999 // 1000310 net 1 tg 310 BM 310
// 1003023 net 1 tg 3023 BM 3023
DMR+
Net 2 TGRewrite1=2,2000001,2,1,999999 // 2000310 net 2 tg 310 DMR+ 302 ( Linked to BM 310)
// 2000302 net 2 tg 302 DMR+ 302 ( Linked to DMR-Marc 302)
// 2003023 net 2 tg 3023 DMR+ 3023 ( Linked to BM 3023)
TGIF
Net 4 TGRewrite1=2,4000001,2,1,999999 // 4031665 net 4 tg 31665 TGIF 31665
// 4003023 net 4 tg 3023 TGIF 3023

Now, having said all this, I still recommend one hotspot per network.

Thank you, that is helpful. I did find one problem with all of this on my set-up: The new DMR network I'm trying to use doesn't even work when it's the only one activated. So I need to get that working before I try to get two of them going. I totally agree that two hotspots would be the way to go and I'll probably just do that.

Thanks for the reply,
Eli

Here you have a portion of my DMRGateway file.
It's a TS2 ONLY HS.
Connected to:

BM-Spain 2141
DMRPlus IPSC2 Catalunya
XLX is NOT enable (in my case)
DMR2YSF CrossMode active.

[DMR Network 1]
Enabled=1
Address=84.232.5.113
Port=62031
TGRewrite0=2,9,2,9,1
PCRewrite0=2,94000,2,4000,1001
TypeRewrite0=2,9990,2,9990
SrcRewrite0=2,4000,2,9,1001
PassAllPC0=1
PassAllTG0=1
PassAllPC1=2
PassAllTG1=2
Password="myprivatepassword"
Debug=0
Name=BM_Spain_2141
Id=214338101

[DMR Network 2]
Enabled=1
Address=217.61.2.11

[DMR Network 3]

Address=127.0.0.1
Port=62033
Local=62034
TGRewrite0=2,7000001,2,1,999998

I have NOT, added, removed, edited any "rewrite" from the default configuration...
They simply WORK FINE.

Explanation on HOW TO USE.

DMR call to any TG7xxxxxx routes to YSF network.
DMR call to TG8 routes to DMR Plus connected reflector.
DMR call to any other TG rather than 8 or 7xxxxxx, routes BM.

To place a PC to DMRPlus an 8 must by placed before the destination, i.e.:
PC to Ref 4714 on DMR Plus must be done as PC84714. So you get connected to it.
To send 5000 to DMR Plus, it must be sent as PC85000.
By sending PC to 5000 or 4000 they go to BM Network.

It doesn't hurt, is it ?

I hope it will be useful.

73'Rafa.

NOTE:
Yes, BM Spain admins asked to have our "own" password (not default) set.
The info showing in here for that value is NOT the real one.. ;)
