DMR connectivity issues

Post by NB2A »

I am brand new on this as of yesterday. I find only issues with DMR status going back and forth from red to green quite often. i do not have the same issue with D star or P25 which are the only two other modes I can get to run at this point.

Is this an issue for anyone else?

Try a different DMR Master.

Have a look at the live logs to see if they give anymore indication as to why you are seeing this. It could be your attempts to connect to a server are being bounced. The live logs will show this, if so. Or might report something else that is happening with your install.

Do you mean a live long in the Pi-star itself?

Thank you

Yes. Go to the admin page then expert page then click the live logs hyperlink

Watch what scrolls down the screen.

The live log seems to show DMR connection opening and closing every minute or so. It says connection is timing out also.

I'm curious about several things here as I have similar issue.
What is your ISP?
What modem/router are you using?
Have you tried D-Star?

I have a similar issue but D-Star works fine. I can also connect with my cell hot spot and DRM works. I also see timeouts.

Starting logging, please wait...

Until recently, I had the same issue. Motorola MG7550 modem wasn't letting DMR through no matter whether I disabled the firewall, put the hotspot into the DMZ, or did port forwarding on all ports starting with 22.

I ended up getting a modem only with no wifi and it works great now. Just for info sake, I ended up with the NetGear CM1000 running through my Airport Extreme.

Probably not what you wanted to hear, but all I've read about the Motorola is it's a nightmare to work with for gaming and anything else.

Good luck!

edit: Just realized I meant to comment on the other thread about the MG7550...
