Initially working Gateway where private calls were failing, I reset the hot spot back to BrandMeister as the only Master and All Private calls still fail.
This is an extract of the log when I transmit a private call. Any ideas please?
Starting logging, please wait...

Then I get the refused tone.
This is now the standard mmdvmhost, without modifications. Everything works as expected otherwise. Even Private call 9990 is refused.
All Private Calls failing
Re: All Private Calls failing
You say you are using a hot spot? Is it a duplex board (separate transmit/receive antennas -- or using external radios)?
So far as I know, all common hot spots only work using time slot 2, but your log is stating time slot 1.

Re: All Private Calls failing
This is a micro-repeater - Dual Hot-Spot, However I have resolved the situation.
When programming a channel in the data management block (in a Tytera/Retevis CPS) do not under any circumstances check the box labelled "Private Call Confirmed" - Quite counter-intuitive it seems, but a conversation I had earlier today concerning Quad TDMA, where Point to Point contacts are best blocked, this is what I had in fact done. If there are similar settings in other devices be warned as this could be an issue as well.
Case Closed
