Customization of the channel/CC/Slot display line

Post by N4BIL »

I have a single radio ZumSpot running DMR. I am using an Anytone 878 with this setup. On my display, the very last line is a line that looks to be derived from what Pi-Star is sending it. The line show <TG NUMBER> CC:<COLOR CODE> T<SLOT NUMBER>.

For instance, right now, it shows:
3100 CC:01 T1

I have seen other radio users with the actual name instead of the number for the TG here. Note this has nothing to do with the TG list and how it is setup.

Also, this is a single radio hotspot. Odd that it is showing timeslot 1 being used when TS2 is the only one in use for these single radio hotspots.

So my question, maybe more for the devs is if this line is derived by Pi-Star itself and is it customizable? Also why would TS1 show when my hotspot is only setup for TS2?

Are simplex hotspots really hardwired for TS2 only or does it just seem that way? How do you get a simplex hotspot to listen to TS1 transmissions? (Is the "TS1" that shows up on your end an indication of the original/originating TS?)

Just some thoughts to consider when looking at all this.
