DMR Repeater Talkgroup Setup

Post by WM4B »

Greetings braintrust,

I have a DSTAR repeater set up and running Pi-Star 3.4.17 (have not had a chance to upgrade yet). DMR is catching on around here and I took the plunge myself. I'm now considering activating DMR on the machine as well, but before I do that I want to ask if it's possible to limit the available talkgroups users have access to; I don't want someone parking on TG91 or some other busy TG and locking the machine in TX hours at a time. I know the 'big boys' set up specific TGs that are available dynamically; can I do that with Pi-Star?

73,

Mike

Talkgroups are already dynamic. They time out after 10 minutes of idling.

You can set talkgroups to be static using the BM self service, but you seem to be wanting the exact opposite so I think you just have the terminology mixed up.
No... I want to limit which talkgroups can be connected to.

I don't see those options in Self-Care, but I don't have a RadioID for my repeater. I assume that's why?
