I imagine we'll see what happens over the weekend.
I simply went in to /etc/mmdvmhost and changed the [DMR Network] address= line to the new expected hostname and refreshed the dashboard and everything was back to normal.

It would be nice if the dashboard just checked to see if the configuration is an IP address and then replaced it with the correct hostname automatically.
If someones previous actions are any indication of their future actions, then I predict the deletion and removal of access will happen at any moment. 7-11-2020.

I imagine that the number of users who edit the mmdvmhost configuration manually like that will be small. I decided I would use the GUI tools and see what happened. I was easily fixed, but if it happens in the dead of night and breaks then clearly some people will not know how to fix it and will come and ask for help.

Thats the good news, if the user doesn't go into the dashboard and change that DMR master setting or click apply changes everything still works. It just displays the IP address instead of the hostname on the bottom of the dashboard.

I see the IP address instead of the hostname, too. However, without touching anything on the Configuration page after updating (in other words, even if I don't change the DMR Master and I don't Apply Changes), the Active BrandMeister Connections and BrandMeister Manager modules disappear from the Admin page.

I have to re-select my DMR Master to get them back.

Edit: Since the latest dashboard update a few minutes ago, after I re-select my DMR Master, the BM Hotspot Security password appears to be automatically re-entered (I see the asterisks); however, the DMR Net status remains yellow on the Admin page until I Apply Changes on the Configuration page once more (I didn't have to re-enter the password, just Apply Changes).

After Andy's most recent changes I now have one hotspot with BM connection which is fine but the other BM-connected hotspot which also has YSF enabled is refusing to log in despite resetting the server, hotspot password and several apply changes and a reboot. The DMR net status is yellow, log shows repeated login attempts failing.

Ah, spoke too soon, more changes incoming. Which seems to have sorted things out.

HA. welp I retract my statement that everything appears to work. You are right, the admin panel is gone, I didn't even notice it was missing. I do see and hear network traffic, but you are correct.

OK well that wasn't fun...

Update your Pi-Stars, and the dashboard is all fixed up, BM passwords stay put once they are set now - that should really help for turning DMR off and on again etc too.

For anyone else playing along at home, update before visiting the config page and setting the new BM host should be less painfull.

Okay, just updated another hotspot. After re-selecting my DMR Master, all was great. BM Hotspot Security password was there automatically, and I didn't need to click Apply Changes to apply it.

Nice work, Andy! Thank you.

Jason, nice to bump elbows with you again over a bit of troubleshooting!

Interestingly I just re-updated and when I went into the Configuration page I noticed that the DMR ESSID seemed to have reverted to the default. I don't know if it was like this when I initially had to reselect the master. I switched it back to 01 and applied the change.
Only then did I look at the Hotspots info on Brandmeister, where things looked as desired.
If it really was using the DMRId only without the ESSID, then it would have been colliding with my new OpenSpot3, but I hadn't experienced any issues that led me to think something was going wrong.
