Hi all,
My Hytera radio periodically sends some DMR data on 222999 (private call) on the BM network for the RRS (Radio Registration Service) through my hotspot. It is the same process done by APRS data.
My problem is: After the radio sent these “DMR data” the pistar dashboard remains in “RX DMR” mode and the “TX +xxx sec.” section, in red, goes on until the hotspot receive a QSO from the network.
Look at the attached picture.
Does anyone have an idea to fix this issue ?
Many thanks
Pistar dashboard remains in TX with RRS Data
Re: Pistar dashboard remains in TX with RRS Data
Thanks for your answer.
First: The radio doesn’t remain in TX.
Second: The firmware on the hat is not frozen, because if I transmit with the radio the hostspot works fine.
Third: The software is not frozen, because if I transmit with the radio the hostspot works fine.
Forth: I believe it’s just a dashboard display error; The problem always happens with RRS but also with APRS data sent by Hytera PD785G radio, but it doesn’t happen with APRS data sent by Anytone 878.

Re: Pistar dashboard remains in TX with RRS Data
Hi,
This is the log with the other radio Anytone 878 (where the problem is not present).

M: 2021-11-08 18:11:49.194 DMR Slot 2, ended RF data transmission
It's very similar with log of the previous post taken from Hytera PD785G radio.
Thanks

Re: Pistar dashboard remains in TX with RRS Data
Except it has one batch of data -- for 7 "blocks", whereas the other has three batches of data, of 2, 2, and 0 blocks. That 0 block transaction would concern me. There is NO "Data Preamble" associated with the last set.

Re: Pistar dashboard remains in TX with RRS Data
Thanks for your reply. The Anytone 878 sends the APRS position, instead Hytera in my case sends only RRS (Radio Registration Service) data. So are different data. This can explain the different number of blocks.
P.S.: I have 3 different models of Hytera radio (PD785G, PD685G and PD365) and all cause the same problem, so I exclude it is a problem related to the radio.
Best Regards
Re: Pistar dashboard remains in TX with RRS Data
I could really use the log lines around that issue - so couple of lines from before it happens, down to anything that is logged after it happens.
What you have posted so far, matches the rules on the dashboard, so it should be working OK, there must be something I am missing there.
