DMR Gateway Doc updated, can't upload pdf

Post by K6KD » Sat Jul 07, 2018 10:12 am

I uploaded a pdf titled "XLX XRF DMRGateway" to the Facebook group several months ago.

It has been updated to be consistent with newer versions of DMR Gateway, and also has a new section specific to Pi-Star provided by Justin/KH7FU. This forum is not allowing me to attach a pdf and also not sure where it should be uploaded.

Hi John,
Pleasure QSOing with you the other day. Would love to see the document. I'm good on QRZ (unless it's the version you sent to me last week). I have some hosting space that you're welcome to post the document on: www.rescueusa.net/xxxx (I used to do dog rescue and this was a domain we used to post photos of the dogs, run an email server, etc.)

Now if only I could get the DMR2YSF mode toggle to stay toggled in Pi-Star post-update!

Best regards,

Hi Gabe,

Sorry for the late response. I just saw your post. I had given up getting any responses so I stopped monitoring the thread as often. When I originally posted it on the Facebook group in September, it was in response to a number of requests to consolidate some threads. I thought there would be similar interest in an update, but I guess not. The Moderators are pretty active in moving posts around, moving this one in particular, but I guess not so much in answering the question.

Anyway, thanks for your comment. Also enjoyed the QSO. That's great you being involved in dog rescue. My current Doberman is a rescue, as was my previous one. He is a fantastic buddy. Also, thanks for the offer to post the document but I find it easier to post in a few places so I don't have to keep track of where it's posted when making updates. If you join my groups.io based Kings of Digital Notify Group, you can easily download the file, as well as keep track of nets and other activities on the Constellation. Here is the link:

Thank you for this, John! I subscribed to https://groups.io/g/KingsOfDigital in order to download your updated doc. I really appreciate both your original and updated doc. They have helped me to understand the interplay between XLX and XRF reflectors better than anything else I've come across.

I have occasionally joined and enjoyed the D-STAR Round Table net, but Thursday evenings aren't often free for me. Although the other two nets sound like good ones, they're not areas of interest for me. Keep up the great work!

Hi Toshen,

The D-STAR Round Table (keeping original title but now all open digital modes) is also available via podcast if live listening not convenient or possible. Information on http://roundtable.tech Also Notify on groups.io is designed to plan for discussions of other topics at other times. https://groups.io/g/KingsOfDigital
