Hi all,
I may have a chance to put a repeater on the local hospital. My point of contact there is asking what I'd need in terms of Internet access and before I answer with what I *THINK* I know, I want to ask the question to the group.
What ports do I need open and what else do I need from the IT guys?

Network Ports Required for DSTAR
Re: Network Ports Required for DSTAR
XLX Server requires the following ports to be open and forwarded properly for in- and outgoing network traffic:
TCP port 80 (http) optional TCP port 443 (https)
TCP port 8080 (RepNet) optional
UDP port 10001 (json interface XLX Core)
UDP port 10002 (XLX interlink)
TCP port 22 (ssh) optional TCP port 10022
UDP port 30001 (DExtra protocol)
UPD port 20001 (DPlus protocol)
UDP port 30051 (DCS protocol)
UDP port 8880 (DMR+ DMO mode)
UDP port 62030 (MMDVM protocol)
UDP port 10100 (AMBE controller port)
UDP port 10101 - 10199 (AMBE transcoding port)

Re: Network Ports Required for DSTAR
So for DSTAR only, I can omit:
UDP port 30051 (DCS protocol)
UDP port 8880 (DMR+ DMO mode)
UDP port 62030 (MMDVM protocol)
Is that correct? Any others?

Re: Network Ports Required for DSTAR
**Outbound (from the repeater to the internet)
TCP/21 - FTP updates probably not needed any more
TCP/22 - SSH to Github probably not required
UDP/53 - DNS, not required if they are going to give you internal DNS servers
TCP/80 - HTTP for updates from Raspbian Servers
UDP/123 - Network time
TCP/443 - HTTPS updates from Raspbian servers / Github
TCP/9418 - Github updates
TCP/53 - Used for Zone transfer method by ircDDBGateway as part of the host lookup process (yes this really is TCP)
TCP/9007 - ircDDB callsign routing
TCP/14580 - D-PRS postion data
TCP/20001 - D-Plus Outbound Connections
**Bi-Directional, in and out.
UDP/20001-20007 - D-Plus Voice
UDP/30001 - DExtra Voice
UDP/30051 - DCS Voice
UDP/30061-30064 - CCS
UDP/40000 - Icom G2
You can trim the in-bound ports down, if you only wanted your repeater to take connections on one protocol, for the best results if you can have them all open, open them all.
Hope that helps.

Re: Network Ports Required for DSTAR
Thanks Andy... I'll bring that to the IT guys. It's all Greek to me, but hopefully they can decode it!!
