Raspberry p3b+
Re: Raspberry p3b+
For quite some time now, Debian (on which Raspbian, on which Pi-Star, is based) by default does NOT enable "root" login.
One is supposed to log in using a /user account/ (in this case, pi-star) with a user password, and therefrom use the "sudo" command to execute commands needing "root" privileges. Note that Raspbian (and Pi-Star) are configured such that "sudo" from the default user account does not require entering a password -- Debian itself is not that lax, and requires one to enter the password of the logged in user account (not a root account password). This is a safety to ensure that someone walking past a logged in system can not maliciously execute root privileged commands unless they already have the information to log into the system.
