Digital Repeater

Post by WB4SJN »

Our club is setting up a digital repeater and every time we go to a forum we get information on setting up hotspots. Is there anybody on this forum that can give us some information on setting up a repeater. The frequency for the repeater is 146.84/24. Thanks for any help.

Nice article.

Question: why did you cross out the firewall ports section?

Yeah, very nice! All our (Serbian) DMR repeaters are built that way.

But why "shameful"?

I need to revisit it but I mainly scratched it out because uPnP takes care of most all of the port forwarding for you if you have it enabled and implemented properly. However it can sometimes cause problems when stations need to connect inbound. I left it up as a source if anyone needed the port references, but its not 100% needed for initial installs. (again i need to revisit it).

LOL I know sometimes its poor etiquette to link to pages outside of the site your on to direct traffic elsewhere, but I figured it was fitting enough.

Aaahaha... OK. Yeah, maybe, but then again, it's relevant, non commercial, and only post in this section, so... ;)
Great article, again. :)
