Yes, integration in to Pi-Star would be helpful and appreciated.

The background details are the background details, but implementation similar to the way XLX D-Star is implemented would be fantastic. With XLX D-Star on Pi-star, you have the option to enter a given module upon connection (A-Z). Based on what Luc has written about YSF connections on XLX, this is certainly possible.
