FTM-400XDR Searching doesn't work
FTM-400XDR Searching doesn't work
I am unable to search for rooms with my FTM-400XDR. No matter what search criteria I use, it always comes back with "No Data." If I click "All," I can see and scroll through all the rooms. This functionality works perfectly with my FT-3DR HT. Is there a setting I am missing to make this work? I've searched and I found one other thread on here with the same problem, but it looks like it was locked prior to resolution.
Re: FTM-400XDR Searching doesn't work
in the config page, set the YSF hosts to upper case, see if that helps you with the search (some radios seem to need it).
Re: FTM-400XDR Searching doesn't work
Thank you for the suggestion. Uppercase Hostfiles? Unfortunately, it's already enabled.
Re: FTM-400XDR Searching doesn't work
Is there any way to debug the connection? Can the pi-star log the commands/strings it sees from the radio? That would help me get to the bottom of this.
Re: FTM-400XDR Searching doesn't work
You could open a live log window from the admin page at the top right.

Thanks! I hadn't seen that option before now. I'll see if it shows anything interesting this weekend when I try it again.
Re: FTM-400XDR Searching doesn't work
I have the same issue with my '400 vs my ft3d. The ft3d also allows me to ADD to a category.
DTMF behaves differently, works for ft3d, not so much with '400.

Re: FTM-400XDR Searching doesn't work
Mine does this as well. I can't add a room to a favorite category. Also, I used the live logs feature and there does not appear to be anything interesting in there. It is not debug-level logs for sure. Is there a way to increase the logging level so that I can see the commands the radio is sending to the pi-star (and vice versa)?
