"TG 0"

Post by N6MIK »

About 20% of P25 traffic from the net is showing up a coming from Talkgroup 0 - any idea what is causing this or how I can fix it? Thanks!

I doubt there will be anything to fix, that will be what the network shows.

Thank you Andy.

I took another look at the history - and TG0 only happens with significant loss percentages. In my case, 7 of the last 10 activity log entries were "TG0" and between 6% and 22% 'loss', and all were unique callsigns.

Is loss tied to high BER on the remote side, or more of a local network/internet packet loss? If the latter, I'll investigate my connections! I'd like to find a remedy, as my radios do not unmute on TG0 - so I miss quite a bit of traffic...

Thanks again!

BER relates to RF losses, Loss is packet loss.

It could be at the ingress to the network point (so remote side repeater to the reflector) or it could be between the reflector and your hotspot / repeater, that I cannot answer, for your own system, if its on WiFi make sure the signal is good and that the WiFi channel is as clear as possible - there are some good tools for android to see what use the RF spectrum near you is getting. If its wired just make sure your internet is working ok, not much else you can check really.
