Does pi-star offer a capability similar to OpenSpot2 that “announces” status (connected talkgroup, WiFi network, etc). I have VERY limited vision and find that function very useful particularly when switching among a few WiFi networks I regularly operate through.

Synthesized voice stays msgs?
Re: Synthesized voice stays msgs?
A few people discussed this back in July: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1988
Apparently, someone is working on it and there is more info on Facebook (not big on FB myself, so don't know more):

Thanks for the info. I apologize for noT finding this search hit myself.
I, too, am a reluctant FB user. My only use relates to DMR.

Re: Synthesized voice stays msgs?
No problem, Glenn; I just remembered it because I had seen it previously.
P.S. A forum search hint: I personally find that the forum search isn't very robust, so quite often I'll run a custom search on the forum using google.com, and then will come up with more results: I have this link bookmarked:
site:https://forum.pistar.uk/ searchforthis
and then I just replace searchforthis with what I want to find. If I want to search an exact phrase, I put it in quote marks: "search for this exact phrase"
