dvmega - arduino no longer communicate

Hi All

ok I have a dvmega dual band arduino hat, I just hat to reflash pi-star, now I can nolonger get my pi to see the modem.
what I have tried is
different pi
different cables
different sd cards
different arduinos
different dvmega..
different pi images
different PSU
so as you can see I have tried everything, but I suddenly remembered an update a long time back I had to change a setting to get it to see the modem again, but I cannot remember what that setting is, pretty sure it was just changing a 0 to 1 or something somewhere in expert mode..

anyone know?
