YSF2DMR version 4 stable.

Post by M6KKW »

Hi,

Downloaded and flashed the stable version of Pi-Star 4.
I copied the backup up of the Pi-Star config.zip into the root of the SD card (so in other words the settings are indentical).
Booted the Pi 0 W and left it for an hour.
It connected to my wifi fine and all my settings were populated corrrectly.
I did an update.
Now when I connect to #00002 (YSF2DMR) and join a talkgroup, I can be heard, but I can't hear the room. (tested on 3 or 4 TG)
Does anyone have and suggestions ?
For the time being I have reverted back to version 3. and that is working fine.
Cheers
Nick

Yep, you'll find a few post relating to this.
It's an issue with some radios that others don't see.

There's also an issue in some instances where updating with an earlier saved config is screwing things up.

Reburn the card a continue the setup with a manual configuration.

Hi Andrew,

Flashed a card from scratch with version 4.1.
Manually reconfigured the dashboard checked my hotspot on Brandmeister.. Been recognised.
I used the YSF parrot room to test BER its at 0.3%
Still the same issue I'm afraid.
I have tested it using hubnet. (i have an allstar node)
I can talk into the TG 23526 (hubnet), but I cant hear the replies. (except via my allstar node)
Frustrating :-)
Thanks for your help.
Regards
Nick

Something I just noticed. The radio appears to be recieving the signal (green light flashing when there is a transmission in progress), just doesn't seem to be able to decode the signal.

Is it the green light I thought that was fm though YSF was the blue light. ???

Talking things all-star I've had one setup up for a little time as well connecting to our local YSF reflector. Which also feeds over to a local DMR Tg. When I tested it it ran fine over DMR and YSF using ft1 ft2 handhelds but not with a ftm100 or 400 yaesu mobile radios. All-star traffic wasn't received by those mobile radios but it did on the handhelds. These yeasu radios are kinda strange in how they work with anything except wires X. I solved the all-star issue by changing over to a different set of binaries, but it is weird how some yaesu radios worked, whilst others didn't.
