DMR to YSF problem Pi-star v4. 1.xx

Post by 9Y4C »

Hello guys I'm having some issue with DMR to YSF since upgrading to version 4.
I'm running the Chinese version hotspot, when I select a reflector it connects but when I try transmitting I am not being heard, I tried multiple reflectors, but I can copy all traffic on the reflector, I also noticed that some of the stations transmitting would show up on my radio with my callsign, don't know if this is normal.
What I really need to know, is if there is a way to fix the issue where the hotspot doesn't transmit to the reflector?

Thanks and regards

first make sure you are right up to date - we recently pushed some updates that should have fixed this.
Can you give me some example reflectors ?

Hi Andy
Thanks for the response on the radio, I just want to clarify, do I add the reflectors to my radio like DMR Talkgroups in my codeplug?

That is the best way to do it yes, if you are using DMRGateway so that you can use DMR/YSF at the same time, prefix them with a 70, see here for a handy list: http://www.pistar.uk/ysf_reflectors.php

Also with the 71 prefix you can also add in all the FCS reflectors too...

Ok did it last night after speaking to you, just added a few Reflectors, it works, the only issue I noticed, is when I change talkgroups and key up, sometimes it takes a while for the change to take effect, and I sometimes have to out the radio in monitor mode to listen, I'm using TYT MD UV380.

Again thanks for the quick response.
