A while ago, K9NPX made an add-on to Pi-Star available via his website. I'm looking to see if anyone out there is still running it on one of their older Pi-Star hotspots. If so, please contact me directly - my contact information is accurate on QRZ.com.
It was brilliant! Reformat pages in the Pi-Star web interface so they look a lot better on a mobile device, and he also added a dashboard page that would give a heads-up display that allowed you to see information about the active station.
I'm not sure why something like it hasn't been incorporated into Pi-Star already. The pages were fairly simplistic from what I can recall.
Don't bother trying to install it. The code was removed from the site a while ago. Why? I have no idea. I'd love to know. I reached out to the developer and never heard back from him.

Stopped working after the release of pistar 4.0 afaik the developer of said dashboard has decided to call a halt on his project.
