Pi-Star Hotspot failure....

Post by 2e0tjx »

Hello
I have a Pi-Star Hotspot that ive had for a couple years now and has worked fine, however, yesterday like an idiot, i took the MicroSD card out of it without turning the power off first. I took it out because for some reason, it wasn't showing in my Router, so i decided to investigate.... I have now updated the SD card and put it back in the hotspot, and i get a green light on constant and a red light flashing, and on the bottom pcb board, there is another green light that blinks for a while then stops on... Im not getting anything from the LED display at all... Have i damaged it? Done all i can but no joy.....

Code: Select all

Pi-Star_RPi_V3.4.17_20-Jan-2019.zip
Pi-Star_RPi_V4.1.0_26-Mar-2020.zip
Pi-Star_RPi_V4.1.2_20-May-2020.zip
If it is an R-Pi 4B, only a v4 image will be suitable. Not sure if the 3B+ is compatible with Pi-Star v3.x (v3.x is obsolete Debian Jessie; the R-Pi 4B requires Debian Buster, and I think the R-Pi 3B+ wanted at least Debian Stretch).
